STEWARDSHIP & ONLINE GIVING

Stewardship is about thanksgiving – how we manage our time, abilities, and resources to do God’s work at St. Paul’s by the Sea and in our community.

IN THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Each member is encouraged to support his or her parish financially. Each of us at Paul’s by the Sea is asked to give every year to this parish, as a way of thanking God for all that God so freely gives us and to help fund the ministry of the parish. Many of us pledge to give a specific amount each year, on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. We count it a blessing and a joy to support St. Paul’s by the Sea in this way. Every pledge is welcomed!

But we also see stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity.

Stewardship is, simply put, our responsibility to care for God’s gifts, and to use those gifts to glorify God, to serve the common good, and to further God’s kingdom.
