Daughters of the King

Gale Jones, President

The Daughters of the King is an Order founded in 1885 for the extension of Christ’s Kingdom, especially among women and girls. Daughters undertake a rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. We currently have over 27,000 members including Chapters all over the world. The Chapter here at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea is the St. Julian of Norwich Chapter. We have approximately twenty-five members. We generally sponsor two Quiet Days each year, one during Advent and one during Lent.

The members of the DOK fulfill their pledge of lifelong service by assisting in many ministries at SPBTS, the most recent being a Buddy Bucks dollar drive to raise money for mammograms for uninsured women. We partner with Beaches Episcopal School each year to fill Christmas stockings for under privileged children. We also reach outside of our community in ministry to the Down Home Ranch in Texas.

Our meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month from 8:30 to 9:30 am. We invite anyone who is interested to attend our meetings. You will be warmly welcomed!
